Sacred Media: As the visionary, what is the vision of GMMN?

Minister Joshua Bassey: The vision of Gospel Music Ministers Network is to bring sanity, direction, knowledge and total reformation to gospel music ministers and ministries in Calabar as the starting point, in Nigeria, in Africa, and the world at large. She will function as a body through different part. Errors and blunders have committed, ministers have been blackmailed with the crime committed by the so called ‘gospel musicians’. It is time to draw a line between gospel music and secular music.

Minister Joshua Bassey: The door is not open to gospel music ministers yet, until the foundational stage is over. But not withstanding, these are the names of those who are actively working on the structure; Pastor Jonnie Akpanke, Pastor Victor Edet, Pastor Umon, Minister Jonny Godswill, Minister Ifiok Ebong, Mininster, Otobong Ekpenyong, Minister Godswill Daniel, Minister Zeal, Minister Bassey Orok, Minister Edu Ubi and Minister Ruth Asi.

Sacred Media: Brief the world about the impact of the first conference?

Minister Joshua Bassey: The conference which was tagged ‘The Business In Gospel Music’ took place at the summez hall on the 5th of march, 2010, featured different music producers, music marketers, and gospel music ministers in and out of the state. The conference speaker was Rev. Frank Opunye, Pastor Toney Raphael, exploits on the re-branding/repackaging yourself for success while Mr. baseone, educated us on topic “you and your producer” the conference was a eye opener to all the participant, they couldn’t stop calling, finding out when then next conference will be coming up. Let me use this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all the ministers that devoted their time, ideal and resources to the success of the conference. Sacred media: what should be the qualification of any intending member? Any intending member of GMMN must be an active in his/her local church, must be loyal to his/her local church authority and should be under a ministry that is a member of CAN/PFN/CPFN. This is the principal qualification.
